Pets and Animals

At Daffodil WLC, we maintain stringent procedures regarding interactions with animals, both within our premises and during outings:

Educational Encounters:

Although pets are not on-site, we value the educational aspect of children interacting with animals. Therefore, under supervision, children may encounter animals during appropriate outings.

Respectful Treatment:

Children are encouraged to treat all animals with respect and learn proper handling techniques.

Hygiene Standards:

Handwashing is mandatory after any contact with animals to uphold hygiene standards and prevent the spread of germs.

Safety Awareness:

Children are educated about animal safety and are taught to seek permission from the animal's owner before attempting to touch or handle them.

Secure Storage:

Despite the absence of pets on our premises, any pet food or bird feed brought in for outings is securely stored to prevent access by children.

Outdoor Area Maintenance:

We regularly inspect outdoor areas for any signs of animal waste from neighbouring cats to ensure the safety of the children during outdoor activities.
