To ensure a harmonious environment and the safety of all children, we have a few guidelines regarding personal items brought from home:
Toys from Home
We kindly request that toys from home are not brought to our facility. However, if a child requires a comfort item, we will address this separately.
Labelled Items
Clothes, bottles, and any other belongings belonging to the child must be clearly labelled with the child's name to avoid any confusion.
Lost Property
Any items found without labels will be placed in a designated box and sorted weekly. Items unclaimed after 3 months will be donated to charity.
Comfort items
While we take pride in providing a diverse range of toys and activities to cater to the varied needs, abilities, and ages of all the children in our care, we understand that children may have comfort items. We advise parents to consider the following:
- While we strive to keep all children's toys and belongings safe, it may not always be feasible to monitor every item constantly, especially during outings.
- If a toy holds significant sentimental or monetary value, it may be best kept safely at home to avoid any potential loss or damage.
- For children particularly attached to a comfort toy, we recommend considering purchasing additional "copies" to mitigate distress if the toy is lost. This proactive approach can help maintain the child's comfort even in the event of misplacement.
